Double victory for the Golf GTI TCR

Max Kruse Racing with a one-two at the Nürburgring

Impressive result for the Max Kruse Racing team at round four of the VLN Endurance Championship at the Nürburgring: Benjamin Leuchter (D) and team-mate Andreas Gülden (D), at the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR, won the TCR class at the Adenauer Rundstrecken-Trophy and finished a fine 24th overall. The two Nürburgring specialists had previously dominated qualifying and started from pole position in their class. The second car, with Jasmin Preisig (CH) and Loris Prattes (D) sharing the driving duties, finished runner-up in the TCR class and 31st overall at the endurance event, which was reduced to 3.5 seconds due to a crash.

Leuchter was delighted after the race:“I am really pleased that Max Kruse Racing has finally been rewarded for all the hard work. After all the misfortune in recent races, we have finally had a weekend, on which everything ran perfectly. We put the car on pole position and completed a lights-to-flag victory without ever looking under threat. However, what pleases me at least as much is the fact that our junior car finished second to complete the one-two. We had to invest a lot of work to make that possible, and my thanks go to all the team members who really epitomised that.”
