Say goodbye, say hello

A new generation is taking over at the wheel

As Petter Solberg exits the World Rally Championship stage, his son Oliver is treading the boards for the first time. The father-son duo will drive two Polo GTI R5 cars run by the PSRX Volkswagen Team at the Rally Wales (3 to 6 October 2019). The appearance of both Solberg’s promises to provide plenty of thrilling rally action. The Solberg family has been a fixture on the motorsport scene for decades – it is our pleasure to introduce them.

“The Rally Wales has always been very special for me,” says Petter Solberg. “It is fantastic to bring the curtain down on my WRC career here. I have so many memories of Wales. In 2002, I won my first WRC rally with my co-driver Phil Mills, who comes from this region. I then wrapped up the World Championship title here one year later.”
